Formed in the spirit of dynamic growth, social activities and intellectual pursuits

Our schools were founded for the service of God and Humanity with unique centres of academic excellence established on the unwavering principles of strong morals and values. Children are taught by professionally trained and motivated teachers who share knowledge, love and tenderness. This is not only done through the four walled classes but also through learn and do programmes, excursions and educational visits. In addition, we believe that work without play makes Gardeners dull. We therefore value co-curricular activities such as band, choir, journalists, sports, melodies, scouting and many more. Our aim is to portray a desire to achieve. To live a purpose driven life in order to be the greatest Gardener ever!

GARDEN BAND

The Garden Band came into fruition back in 2004 when the first blaring of the trombones was heard within the garden. The band has since then remained vivacious in producing the best tunes while expanding its wings. The Garden Band has been invited to grace major historic events in the country such as the Karen Hospital Heart to Heart Run. This has been successful due to the efforts of its members who have vividly been intrepid and assiduous in playing of the instruments in all the occasions.

As a band member, your child will undergo a fun, extensive and expansive training. With a wide range of aerophones some of them being trombones, trumpets, cornets, tuba, clarinets, horns, saxophones and drums. The members of the Garden Band live to remember the eminent words pellucidly uttered by Visitor Hugo, "Music expresses that which cannot be said and which it is impossible to be silent." Long live our great Garden Band.

The Garden Robotics is our international club society offering lego technology and robotic seminars that enhance the creative mind. The members of this society compete in international tournaments both locally and around the world. In addition, we offer a full robotic laboratory that accommodates both engineering and robotic facilities. The Garden Robotics have become a fun, friendly and educative way for children to learn science and use their imagination positively. We are excited about the growth of this soceity and are happy to welcome future Garden Robotic members.

GARDEN ROBOTICS

The Garden Melodies is one of our four societies here at The Green Garden Schools. We believe that music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind, heals the heart and brings life to everything. Members of the Garden Melodies are trained to play a variety of instruments that include keyboard, recorders, guitars and drums sets. We aim at establishing a child who can play more than three instruments with ease. We train three times a week for an hour and perform regularly both at our school and at events all over Kenya. The Garden Melodies  helps the child to further their talents even when they leave the institution.

GARDEN SCOUTS

The Garden Scouts is fun with a purpose, directed towards helping boys and girls become happy, healthy and useful citizens. Through recreation, it has achieved its purpose of helping young students develop physically, intellectually, socially, and spiritually. Our scouting is all about building confidence and self-esteem, learning important life skills and leadership, team building, outdoor adventure, education, and fun! Scouts learn how to make good choices and to take responsibility for their actions so that they are prepared for their adult life as independent persons. We achieve our scouting purpose by the use of the Scout Method, which is a system of progressive self-education through:

* A Promise and Law — making a personal commitment.

* Learning by doing — active participation with others, new experiences and drilling.

* Membership of small groups — develop leadership, group skills, and individual responsibility.

* Progressive and stimulating programs —  activities based on the interests of our learners and in contact with nature to provide adventure and challenge.

Scouts have walked on the moon, rowed across oceans, scaled the highest mountains, become Oscar winners, authors and inventors. Join us to join the list.

Scouts Commisioner,

Sports is an integral feature of life here at The Green Garden Schools.  Our sporting programmes allow students to develop an understanding of the value of physical recreation in terms of mental, physical and social well being. As we say, work without play makes Gardeners dull. Students are taught the importance of good sportsmanship; how to win with humility and how to lose gracefully. With this students are divided into four teams when they are admitted to the school:

NGONG, ABERDARE, LONGONOT & KILIMANJARO .

The main sporting activities at Green Garden spread across the three terms include golf, skating, cycling, swimming, basketball, soccer, handball, rounders, field hockey, cross-country and swimming. The school also competes in (KPSA) Kenyan Association of Private Schools and is currently the title winner. We value the education not only by gaining academic knowledge but by being an all round individual who can achieve anything in life.
